COVID-19 Special Instructions for Eagle Home Appraisal, Clients, and Associates:

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency set forth a publication dated March 28, 2020 “Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce: Ensuring Community and National Resilience in COVID-19 Response Version 2.0.” It defines appraisers as part of the critical infrastructure. It states, “Workers who are needed to maintain orderly market operations to ensure the continuity of financial transactions and services…residential and commercial real estate services, including settlement services.”

The appraisers of Eagle Home Appraisal are in adherence to the CDC guidelines set forth to combat the spread of COVID-19. Our appraisers while performing appraisals have Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) including but not limited to face masks, disposable gloves and protective shoe coverings. If any appraiser has a fever over 100.4 they will not proceed with interior walk through appraisal assignments. We ask if any resident of the appraised property inform us before we arrive if they have any known contact with COVID-19 positive persons. If the resident is uncomfortable at any time they may ask the appraiser to stop the walk through. If the appraiser is uncomfortable they may ask the resident to open all doors and turn on all lights as well as wait outside the property until the walk through is completed. These guidelines help to ensure a smooth and courteous process to keep all parties safe during these difficult times.
